LIV Golf returns to the UK at the JCB Golf and Country Club

The Trackman Golf Simulator has allowed golfers of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels to practice their swing from the comfort of a location of their choosing.

Used by both amateurs and professionals alike, the Trackman simulator has proven to be an invaluable tool, helping avid players to gear up in the most realistic way possible without the need to head to their local course. Instead, they get to experience a golf club from Trackman's huge catalogue, effectively allowing them to visit courses across the world to improve their golf game - without ever stepping out the door.

Speaking of professionals, Trackman isn’t without its fans within the professional ranks, with some of these names set to compete in the rising LIV Golf platform. Including the upcoming LIV Golf event at JCB Golf and Country Club in Rocester, England, from the 26th to the 28th of July.

Looking for a little more information on LIV Golf and this particular event? Here are a few things you might want to know.

What is LIV Golf?

Pitched as an alternative to the PGA Tour, which has reigned supreme in the golf realm for decades, LIV Golf was created by the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Saudi Arabia to “reinvigorate” the game while attracting some of the world’s biggest golfing stars.

One of the key factors that has driven the sport’s most popular names away from more traditional formats is the amount of money involved, with players receiving impressively high purses for each event they participate in. Some in the eight-figure range.

While the prospect of higher pay and a fresh look at a sport that hasn’t changed much across the years is appealing to some, the concept and its organisers have come under some scrutiny for the gargantuan sums of cash involved. The implication is that they have attempted to “bankroll” their way to the top of the sport.

Nevertheless, LIV Golf events continue to roll on in full-swing (pun intended) with the tournament soon set to return to UK shores.

Who will be playing at LIV Golf at the JCB Gold and Country Club?

There’s no full player list as of yet, but LIV Golf has confirmed (via its website) that popular UK golf stars including Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Sam Horsfield will be returning to home turf to put on a show for the UK fans - and hopefully walk away with a sizeable chunk of the prize money, too.

But whoever turns up, they will need to be putting in plenty of hours of practice behind the scenes if they hope to one-up their nearest rivals on the scoreboard.

Which LIV Golf players use Trackman products?

Trackman products - including the Trackman Virtual Golf Simulator and launch monitor - have been used far and wide by numerous golf stars to help refine their skills and perfect their swing before stepping into a big competition.

Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Justin Rose to name but a few, each of whom have contributed to the success of Trackman and the simulator over the years.

In terms of LIV Golf talent, Sergio Garcia had a major input in the development and success of the Trackman Virtual Golf Simulator, helping it to become the number one choice for at-home virtual golf simulators today.

With the Trackman simulator, you’re able to play through unbelievably accurate simulations of some of the world’s most famous golf courses - offering you a truly professional feel - wherever you happen to have the system set up.

Utilising optically enhanced radar tracking, doppler radar technology and precise launch monitors, the Trackman simulator offers pinpoint ball data, showing precisely where your ball would have landed on a real course, in real-time, for an unrivalled indoor golf experience.
