5 entertaining games to play on your Trackman Golf Simulator

Golf simulators can be a great way to squeeze in some much-needed practice at home, the office, or anywhere the equipment is installed.

But countless avid golfers also enjoy turning their golf simulator into a hub of activity and entertainment to share with golf-loving friends! Suddenly, party nights become exciting golf challenges, with each person testing their skill, accuracy, and force against their opponents with a golf club - in friendly competition, of course.

If you’ve been struggling to decide whether a golf simulator would be a good investment, and you’ve purely been looking at it as a tool to lower your score, you could be missing out on a ton of fun!

At Black Box Golf, we’re approved vendors of the world-renowned Trackman Virtual Golf Simulator and Trackman iO, and can help you onboard your very own simulator to play the most realistic golf possible without ever needing to leave the front door.

With this in mind, here are just a few super-fun games you can play on a golf simulator, to take your parties and game nights to the next level of excitement.

5 entertaining games to play on your Trackman Golf Simulator

1 - Longest Drive

This one is a classic that countless groups of friends have enjoyed at driving ranges everywhere.

Being able to drive the ball the furthest really is something to boast about and raises your golfing stock in the eyes of fellow players - it’s a timeless test of power that’s simple yet impressive.

But sometimes, on the driving range, it can be difficult to know which of your friend group has driven the ball the furthest, especially if the balls land pretty close to each other. And you don’t want to be running into the line of fire with a tape measure!

However, golf simulators can create this energy in any indoor location of your choosing, while offering a rounded yardage you can use to distinguish between all players for definitive results.

So, who can drive the ball the furthest out of your friend group? It’s time to find out.

2 - Pin-Seeker

A game that’s more about accuracy than power, pin-seeker places you around 150 yards from the “hole” (or whatever distance you’re most comfortable with) and challenges you to land your ball as close to the pin as possible.

Groups of friends can alternate, replaying the same shot and ensuring the exact same parameters, so everyone is on an equal playing field - despite being nowhere near a real field or golf course!

Everybody gets a shot. Closest to the pin wins. It’s that simple. Or, try mixing things up with a best-out-of-three.

3 - Par 3 Like the Pros

Sometimes, the shortest holes in golf are the most thrilling. But that’s not always possible when expansive Par 4’s and 5’s are scattered around the course.

If you and your friends want to keep games short and sweet, there’s nothing like Par 3 Like the Pros.

It’s an easy-to-grasp concept: the game consists entirely of pre-determined Par 3’s, rather than the full course. Your friends all then try to emulate their golfing heroes and sink the ball in the fewest shots possible - but a hole-in-one equals an instant victory!

4 - Target Practice

Instead of just shooting for the pin all the time, why not mix things up a little and aim for targets that are more reachable in shorter distances?

Target Practice, unlike Pin Seeker, sees you choose specific items or locations on a hole and allocates each of them a set number of points. These can be trees, bushes, walkways, or even bunkers! Generally, the more difficult the target, the more points it's worth.

Each player takes on a fairway with a limited number of shots, and the player with the most points wins the round.

5 - Speed Golf

This is where things can get really crazy…

Finishing a hole in the shortest number of shots is traditionally the way golf is played.

But for high-octane game nights with friends, why not throw tradition out the window and put speed at the forefront of the game, and see who can finish a hole in the quickest time?

Forget over-the-top aiming or elongated setups, it’s all about squaring up and striking the ball in rapid time to get one over on your buddies. Fastest time wins!

If all of the above sounds too tempting to ignore, the Trackman Virtual Golf Simulator will soon become your most beloved game night companion.

One of the most widely-used golf simulators on the market today, the Trackman takes advantage of acutely-designed launch monitors and doppler radar technology to provide the most accurate display of where your ball would have landed in real play.

An innovative indoor golf solution, your chosen course is projected onto a screen, with players hitting the ball into the screen to continue the game. This is where the technology takes over, and your ball flight, launch angle, and countless other data are analysed in split seconds, to show you where your ball would have landed on the green or fairway.

Better still, with hundreds of real-life course simulation options to choose from, you could enjoy the same historic matches as your golfing idols, all without having to get on a train, bus, or plane. You'll be completely spoilt for choice.

Sound good? Then we’re here to help. Get in touch with the Black Box Golf team today to find out more about the Trackman Virtual Golf Simulator, and how you could soon be enjoying all of the above games and so much more!
